Hospital Roberto Suazo Cordova
Improving Healthcare in La Paz, Honduras
Operation La Paz has completed numerous construction projects and critical improvements to the only hospital in La Paz, which serves approximately 240,792 people. In addition to caring for residents of La Paz, the hospital also provides healthcare services to nearby municipalities, including Santiago de Puringla, Santa Elena, San José, and Tutule.
Significant upgrades have been made to accessibility for individuals with disabilities, and essential supplies have been delivered, especially for the surgical and neonatal departments. Operation La Paz has also donated medical equipment such as pulse oximeters glucose monitors and thermometers, as well as air conditioners, and kitchen appliances to support both patient care and hospital operations.
In partnership with Rotary Comayagua and Project C.U.R.E., Operation La Paz helped deliver nearly $1 million in medical equipment and supplies to both the La Paz hospital and Hospital Santa Teresa in Comayagua.
Operation La Paz continues to support the hospital through regular visits, assessments, and ongoing aid. Over the years, these sustained efforts have contributed to meaningful improvements in healthcare for the entire La Paz community.
